Earlier this month, Hyundai Motor America issued a press release announcing that two of its models, the Veloster and Elantra, earned "Best Value in America" awards from automotive cost of ownership specialists Vincentric. This is Elantra's second time on the list, while Veloster has earned the award for the fourth year in a row.
While selecting models for the annual recognition, Vincentric measures cost of ownership based on factors such as depreciation, fuel costs, insurance, financing, repairs, maintenance, and more. Award winners are those with a lower than expected total cost of ownership when compared with the competition.
“Receiving this award is testament to Elantra and Veloster delivering on Hyundai’s promise of safety, technology, style and value,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, corporate and product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “With the introduction of our all-new 2017 Elantra, we hope to continue the vehicle’s momentum as one of our best-selling nameplates and confirm Elantra as the leader in the compact car category.”
